Founder / Owner
Derrick has been in the 401(k) rollover business since 2003 as an owner and founder of a Third Party Administration (TPA) company called FranFund. The first 401(k) plan he established was his own (10 years ago) and he used his own retirement to fund that business. He sold his portion of the business to his partners in 2008 and started Tenet Financial Group three months later, again using retirement dollars.
As the leader of Tenet Financial Group, Derrick has gathered a team of professionals with over 75 years of experience in the financial funding/franchise industry to serve you as you explore using retirement funds to invest in your business.
When it comes to this business, quality is so much more important than quantity, which is the reason why Derrick has no interest in being the biggest Third Party Administration Company, “I will not take shortcuts that will put our clients or their company at risk.”

Vice President of Plan Administration
In April 2009, he sold his ownership and a few months later, he joined Tenet Financial Group as Vice President of Plan Administration.
Today, Dan’s administration team, Ann Lee, Jen Preston, and Erin Kimbell, has 45 of years of combined experience in the TPA industry. Dan is a certified Retirement Plan Associate (RPA) and each member of his team is a certified Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA)
For Dan, each year is like putting together a puzzle, “all 401(k) plans are different, the rules and regulations from the IRS are the same, and each plan has its own unique set of demographics that have to fit together like a puzzle.”

Diane has been working in the pension industry/consulting/customer service areas for over 30 years. Currently assisting clients, lenders, brokers, and franchisors across the country find the best funding options for their business(es). One of the ways Diane has helped a majority of her clients, a specialty of Tenet Financial Group, is working with clients that have retirement funds. Diane helps educate her clients on the process of accessing those funds for a business.
Her experience at MassMutual Life Insurance in the Pension area provided an excellent foundation for her knowledge of 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plans. Diane worked in the Sensitive Plan Unit at MassMutual, handling administration, training, compliance, and customer service.
Other positions Diane has held over the years include Senior Account Executive at CIGNA and Senior Project Manager for Robinson Consulting, a firm specializing in project management and customized software development in the healthcare industry.
Diane is a Senior Consultant and has been with Tenet Financial Group since 2009. She resides in Massachusetts with her husband and they have two grown children. Year-round Diane plays tennis on a couple of USTA tennis teams.

It’s my job to help the client understand all of their financing options and present them in a simplified manner. Once the client understands his or her options, then an informed decision on how best to move forward can be made. It’s really all about taking time with the client to guide them through all of the information.”
Prior to her joining Tenet Financial Group, Kelly was a Financial Services Professional with Prudential where she worked with individuals and business owners to evaluate their circumstances and help them develop sound strategies towards financial security. Kelly earned the following Securities Licenses: Series 6, Series 63 as well as her Life & Health Insurance Licenses. She also worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Professional for near 14 years for both Schering-Plough and Sanofi-Aventis.

Zack’s experience lends itself well to Tenet Financial Group’s core business approach of helping business owners and prospective owners obtain funding through a consultative approach. The fundamentals of this approach include listening, understanding, educating and guiding clients through the funding process. “I find it incredibly fulfilling to help people achieve the goal of owning their own business.”
Zack joined Tenet Financial Group in 2018 as a Senior Consultant. He, his wife, and their three children travel around the United States in their 5th wheel RV. Besides traveling with his family, Zack also has a passion for playing and listening to music.

Ann was certified by the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) in 2010.
Ann is active in her community and serves on the board of education at Skein Lutheran Church. She and her husband, Adam, have three children, Noah and twins Chase and Addison. She loves playing golf, going to concerts, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Erin was certified by the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) in 2010.
She enjoys working with clients who are making their dreams of business ownership come true. One of her favorite inspirational quotes is attributed to the famous Walt Disney, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.”
Erin earned her bachelors of arts from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, and has been a member of the Sioux City Growth Organization and Chamber of Commerce. She loves leading an active lifestyle, including running, lifting weights and playing softball and volleyball. Erin and her husband, Craig, have three children, Coryn and twins Samantha and Jamison.

Jen received her bachelors of finance from Iowa State University, including distinction on the College of Business Deans List, and her associates degree in arts and sciences at Western Iowa Tech Community College, where she was also a member Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
Jen was certified by the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) in 2010.
She is very active in her community, including serving as a local youth soccer and softball coach in Sioux City, Iowa, and treasurer of the Nodland/Sunnyside Elementary School Parent/Teacher Association. Jen and her husband, Adam, host and sponsor a local coed softball tournament every year, the Prestonstock. Since 2014, Prestonstock has raised over $5300 for a local family in need. They have two children, Kade and Kole, and two dogs, Champ and Diesel.

A graduate of South Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics with an accounting minor, she is a native of Midland, South Dakota, now living in Iowa with her husband and three children in Sioux City.
Client Service Representative
A native of Dakota City, Nebraska, now living outside Tulsa, Oklahoma, she received her associates degree in liberal arts from Tulsa Community College and is involved in the local Basketball Booster Club and at her childrens’ schools. Lindsey and her husband, Greg, have three sons, Blake, Tye and Noah.
